Laura Sorey is the Policy and Rules Manager for the Louisiana Department of Conservation and Energy – Office of Energy where she supports the development of policy and regulatory framework for the commercial utilization of Louisiana’s energy resources. Laura previously served as the geology manager for C&E’s Underground Injection Control program where she oversaw the permitting and compliance of all injection wells in the state of Louisiana. Prior to joining the agency, Laura worked as a geologist in the oil and gas industry and in environmental consulting. She is a licensed professional geoscientist in Louisiana and holds a bachelors in geology from Millsaps College and a masters in geology from Louisiana State University.

In this position, Chris oversees International Paper's renewable chemicals business and leads the development of initiatives to capture value from more than 10 million tons per annum (TPA) of biogenic CO₂ emissions generated by the company's containerboard mills. Pete Carragher has been involved in oil and gas exploration since 1974 (after receiving his B.S. degree in Geology from King’s College London). He has evaluated and drilled prospects in most of the world’s oil and gas provinces. From 1989 to 1994, Carragher served as Manager of Amoco’s Basin Analysis Group for Worldwide New Ventures and was then led Amoco’s Prospect Quality Team from 1994 until 1997, an effort directly responsible for creating value for Amoco’s Worldwide Exploration effort. He then served for two years as Manager, Upstream Portfolio Analysis for Amoco immediately prior to the merger with BP. Mr. Findlay has led corporate finance and strategy consulting projects in oil and gas, power & renewables, decarbonization, petrochemicals, and other sectors since 2008 with Kearney and other management consulting firms, working on transactions and projects ranging in value from $50 MM to $40 billion for the world’s largest energy companies as well as much smaller operators. From 2015–2018, Peter led the Financial Decision and Analysis function for Energy at PwC in Calgary and London. He also advises on emerging technologies, primarily relating to decarbonization. Liz regularly counsels clients on carbon capture and sequestration, clean fuels, low-carbon power generation, hydrogen, and other energy transition projects. Her experience includes credit qualification analysis, negotiating transaction agreements, and advising on tax equity, direct pay and credit transfer transactions. She is a frequent speaker and author on federal tax issues related to the energy transition. Her recent representations include Tallgrass Energy in the development of the Trailblazer pipeline system and related sequestration assets capable of transporting and storing over 10 million tons of industrial source carbon dioxide annually; major gas processing companies in the development and operation of carbon capture and sequestration assets as well as the sale of carbon capture assets; Equinor in its $1.1 billion sale of a 50 percent interest in the Empire Wind and Beacon Wind offshore wind projects to BP; and Navigator CO2 Ventures in the development of a 1,200-mile carbon dioxide pipeline network across five Midwest states. Beyond energy transition matters, Liz advises public and private energy companies and private equity investors on acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, project development, and debt and equity investments across the upstream, midstream, and conventional power sectors. She was recently named a “2026 Distinguished Leader” by the New York Law Journal and has been recognized by Chambers USA among America’s leading tax lawyers since 2012.

Yusuke “George” Yoshida is Executive Vice President and President of the Engineered Systems Division at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA). Mr. Yoshida oversees MHIA’s U.S. businesses in carbon capture technology licensing, chemical plant engineering and transportation systems. With more than 30 years of experience in the engineering and construction industry, Mr. Yoshida has held leadership roles in marketing, business development, contract negotiations and international operations in Japan and the United States. From May 2022 to March 2026, he served as Director of the CCUS Strategy Department within GX Solutions at Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. (MHI), where he helped shape the company’s global carbon capture strategy. Mr. Yoshida previously served as General Manager of MHIA’s Engineered Systems Division in Houston from 2015 to 2019. During his tenure, he was co-sponsor of the Petra Nova project, completed in 2016, with MHI serving as technology licensor and engineering contractor. The facility is among the largest post-combustion carbon capture plants in commercial operation in the United States. Born in Kamakura, Japan, Mr. Yoshida grew up in Westchester County, New York. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Waseda University and completed Columbia University’s Sustainable Finance program in 2021.

For Dominic Genetti, joining the Low Carbon Solutions team became a personal mission. A father of four, Dominic hopes to advance a future for his children where the world’s energy needs can be met while reducing or eliminating carbon emissions. And he’s doing this by focusing on Low Carbon Solutions’ customers in hard-to-abate sectors. Dominic’s career with ExxonMobil spans more than two decades, during which he has applied his deep expertise in both technical operations and global strategic advisory. He started his career with ExxonMobil in 1999 working as a reservoir engineer in Houston. He worked in oil and gas fields in West Texas, Oklahoma, and South Texas. His roles have since taken him across the globe, from Venezuela to Norway to Australia. Most recently, Dominic was based in Qatar with his family for seven years, where he held several leadership roles, including president and general manager of ExxonMobil Qatar, president of Al Khaleej Gas, and vice president & ventures manager, ExxonMobil Qatar. While in Qatar, Dominic, and his wife, Mckenize, were board members and trustees of the American School of Doha, where he says some of his proudest moments were seeing students he knew overcome challenges, graduate, and then move on to successful lives. Dominic grew up in Montana and Mississippi. He holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemical engineering from Brigham Young University.

Michelle is focused on partnering with and scaling new advanced clean electricity technologies, such as advanced nuclear, next-generation geothermal, carbon capture and storage on power plants and long-duration energy storage.
