Report summary
This report covers two active PSCs, one future PSC and two expired PSCs that covers production from this area from 1976 to 2034. The active PSCs are operated by ExxonMobil and includes production from multiple oil and gas fields off Peninsular Malaysia. The current active PSCs include the 2008 PSC, which covers the oil production from the southern fields, and the Gas PSC, which covers the northern gas fields and associated gas production from the southern fields. Oil production peaked over 360,000 b/d in 1994, but has since declined below 100,000 b/d in 2017. The operator started EOR programs across the fields to arrest production decline. Gas production from the Terengganu area feeds into the Peninsular Gas Utilisation (PGU) project and provides almost half of Peninsular Malaysia's gas supply.
